About Kindred Spirits

We are Aaron and Stacey Curry. We live in the country on the outskirts of a small town in Southeastern Ohio. We have been married for thirty-five years and have three grown children, two of which are married and six grandchildren. We share our home with a black cat, Jasmine, and nine Miniature American Shepherds, Jade, Sardius, Amber, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Charcoal, Char and Falcon.

I, Stacey, have been involved in the dog world my entire life, starting with 4-H as a child. In 1998, I attended National K-9 School for Dog Trainers and became a Certified Obedience Trainer. I worked for many years helping others train their own dogs including starting a dog training 4-H club. I competed a little in obedience and conformation with my Sheltie and Belgian Tervuren. Aaron has supported me through it all, working hard so I could follow my dreams.

It has been a few years since I have been really active in the dog world and I was missing it. We talked it over and we decided to get a Miniature American Shepherd puppy that I could raise and train for fun and start raising quality puppies. The search was on! Our mission was to find a great MAS breeder that would have just the right puppy for us but more importantly be willing to guide us on this journey. Lani Morris from Kentucky, Herd About Miniature American Shepherds, is that breeder! I called about an advertised puppy that she had but she sold us a different puppy that would fit our needs best… Jade.

And the love for this great breed began!
